From fast-moving backpacking and backcountry trekking to kitchen sink camping and car touring, Klymit is founded on a passion for delivering a comfortable night's sleep for outdoor adventurers.

Looking to get advice from those who have used the Klymit insulated and non-insulated sleeping pads. When deflating the sleeping pad, it took me around 3-5 minutes to get the air out, roll it up, and put it back in the stuff sack, which was all really easy. Klymit is making its mark in the world of sleeping pads because of their ultralight set up and innovation. At 18 oz, it is plenty light for the money, and packing to the size of a Nalgene water bottle it doesn't take much space. The pad is shaped in a way that reduces rolling off, I stayed on without having to be constantly aware of how I laid, unlike other pads I have used.

And just because this is one of the most affordable backpacking sleeping pads doesn’t mean it skimps out on quality. As a long-term traveler, hiker, and backpacker, I’m constantly on the lookout for the most functional and lightest gear, and I’m pretty excited to be adding the Klymit Static V2 sleeping pad to my backpack and list of essential items to pack. In this review, I will discuss our experiences concerning comfort, stability, pressure points, and other features, like how long it takes to blow up the pad, and how easy it is to roll up. It was easy to deflate and roll up, and the included stuff sack is large enough that if you don’t roll it perfectly it will still fit. Her travels took her many places: the Latin Americas, the Middle East, the islands of the South Pacific, and across Europe. The shoulder and hip pain is gone, as is the sliding around and ultimately off the self-inflating pad. There are certainly lighter sleeping pads on the market if you need an ultralight option, but for most backpackers or hikers, the Static V2 will be light enough. The Klymit Inertia O Zone sleeping pad is made with 75D fabric on the bottom and 30D on top, instead of the 30D all round the Neoair Xlite. If you're on a budget and looking to squeeze every penny while still staying comfortable, the Static V2 is worth a look.

And if you do roll a bit too far, Klymit equipped this pad with Dynamic Side Rails to help guide you back for a center alignment. Finally, its length at 72 inches (183 cm) is not the best option for taller people, and they do not have a larger option for the V2, but the Static V is also built in a Luxe version if you need a bigger size.

It fills up with around 14 solid breaths, and packs down to about the size of a water bottle with little effort. Since then, the brand has continually developed a range of precision engineered sleeping mats, all designed to help you sleep outside. Back in 2009, their first product to market was a revolutionary insulated vest filled not with down or synthetic fibres but with argon, an inert gas. It took me much less time and energy to blow up the Static V2 than my old pad, so I give it a 5 out of 5 for inflation.
