In theory, you take out the NuvaRing to get your period, so you would just replace the ring with the cup. If you have vaginal intercourse, or if you use penetrative sex toys, you probably know what angles are most comfortable for you. With the other cups, removal is difficult without pulling while still sealed which is not good for the muscles and hurts.

Menstrual disc users often recommend removing the disc in the shower, at least the first couple of times, to get the hang of it. As a result, trying to study TSS from menstrual cup use is especially hard because it means studying something that could show up in only a tiny sliver of the population. If you do not update your preferences, we will assume that you are happy to receive amazing offers and news.It could also work for women with a tilted cervix who need to wear their cups lower (I don’t have one so this is speculation, not speaking from experience). I do have an issue with a little leakage during my really heavy days, I have to change it every 4 hours, which is better than a super plus tampon every 1-2 hours. As we are constantly reviewing and developing our products to meet our consumer needs, consumers, particularly those that suffer from allergies and intolerances, should always check product labelling, warnings, and directions provided with the product that is delivered, prior to use I've never used any other cup so I can't really compare, but it's easy to remove and insert although i had issues in the beginning. obviously it can be cleaned and sterilized, and stains ≠ dirt, but it stained pretty much immediately to a sort of dark, rusty brown and no amount of boiling and scrubbing with soapy water will get it out.

The obvious drawback to the shorter length and the way the Lily Cup Compact tapers is that it holds less volume than the standard Lily Cup or another cup like a Diva Cup or Lunette Cup. I wouldn’t say the collapsible feature is totally for show, having a small cup that fits in a discreet place can be useful.

The main reason is that it won’t work for me on the heaviest days of my cycle and that the lack of firmness in the rim and the cup body don’t work well for ME. I also decided to not go with the larger size thats recommended for over 30 or those who have children via vaginal birth (im 31 one child via vaginal forcep birth) as im only small, 5’1” and size 6-8 and pelvic muscles are back to normal if a little tighter due to stitches and the larger mooncup i tried was MASSIVE. Instead of looking at the volume a cup can hold, try to pick based on which cup will fit you most comfortably.
